”Chapter I : Vinlanders” is the first full-length release of Distoriam.

It contains 12 songs of Epic Historical Folk Metal.
The album is a glorious display of Epic Historical Folk Metal. It contains clean and harsh vocals, baritone guitars, cool guitar solos, nice bass lines as well as several traditionnal instruments such as Mandolin, Irish Bouzouki, Accordion and Hurdy-Gurdy. It was topped by a massive symphonic wall as well a very tight production.
It was released digitally officially on September 21st, 2015 and it has been pirated online only 4 hours after the release time due to the demand that was confirmed by the amount of pre-orders it had. The physical copies of the album were official made available on September, 24th 2015 during the band’s special release show in Montreal, QC.
The EP was released in June 2015 as a purchase download and as promotional videos. It contained 3 songs from the album ”Chapter I : Vinlanders that was about to be released in September of the same year.

It was the first time that the band released any recorded new songs since 2011.
The first song to be released was ”The Call to Freedom” and featured a video presenting the artwork of the full-length album that was about to be released in the latter months.
The second song to be released was called ”Us, Travelers” and was released with a Lyrics Video.
The last one to be released, ”Venturing Forth”, was accompanied by a Music Video.

This demo, released under the band previous name; ”Vinlanders”, contained 4 songs that were recorded and released online from April 2010 to February 2011. The first physical CD was distributed in November 2011.

It originally contained 4 songs; the first written by the band. It was recorded by Thomas at his and Frakkur’s houses. The lead guitar on ”Duel of a Hundred Lights and Northen Sea Journey” was recorded by Tommy as no lead guitarists were in the band at that time. The two named members are the only one featured in the demo that are still in the band.
In addition to free online distribution, the demo was copied on a very limited quantity of CD’s and given for free at the attendance while the band was opening in Ste-Hyacinthe, QC, for the Russian band ”Arkona”. The CD version contained Data-only instrumental demo version of the song ”Hymn to Mead” that will eventually be re-recorded and featured as an opener on the band’s first full-length album.
